/ January 24, 2015

WAFL matches will be broadcast on Channel 7 this year.

The WA Football Commission and the 7 Network have agreed a deal which will see the WAFL premiership season televised in the Perth metropolitan area and across regional Western Australia.

McDonalds has been confirmed as the major sponsor having bought the naming rights to the match broadcasts. Other sponsors include AHG, REIWA and TABtouch.

WAFC Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Sautner said it was extremely important that the WAFL competition was televised.

“The WAFC has worked very hard over the last two years to achieve certainty of statewide coverage going forward,” he said.
